PARTNER/TRAINER

Sari Weston
E-RYT 200
Studio Director of The Bindu, Cornelius, NC

Sari is the Studio Director at the Bindu and has been happily immersed in the practice of yoga for the past 13 years. She came to yoga after a lifetime of study of movement and mind/body practices in gymnastics, dance, and martial arts.

She has always loved the connection between spirit and its expression through the body’s innate joy of movement. She came to yoga in search of more of this connection, and the practice expanded her mind, softened her edges and cracked her heart open, and she has never been the same!

Teaching yoga has given her a way to share this passion with others, in a practice that can be adapted to any body at any age. In 2009, Sari completed her 230-hour teacher training with Kelley Gardner, Sarah Faircloth, and Stacey Millner-Collins and has been teaching yoga steadily ever since.

Sari's classes feature inspiring themes, a lyrical voice, and a deep understanding of wise biomechanical alignment.

She has maintained an active study of yoga therapeutics with several prominent teachers, and her passion is helping people find more freedom, healing and movement through therapeutic alignment of the body and the breath. She teaches workshops, private therapeutic sessions, and a full schedule of regular weekly classes. In 2014, she was honored to join the faculty of the Rasika Yoga School 200-hour Teacher Training.

As a published writer and poet, Sari uses her love of language to enhance her teaching and inspire her students in writing. When she isn’t on the mat or teaching, she relishes adventures with her son Jack, walking in the woods, gathering with friends, cooking beautiful food, and tramping about through music festivals.
